What Does a Community Transport Volunteer Do?

We are a small and very friendly organisation which many frail and disabled people in North Devon rely on to enable them to access all that is available in the centre of Barnstaple or provide interesting outings meeting old friends or making new ones.

We currently have volunteer vacancies available for Telephone & Office Support, Receptionists, Sighted Guides, Shopping Escorts, Friends of Go North Devon (fundraising) and Management Board Members.

What we can offer you

In return for your gift of time we can offer you:

  • Full training for your role with ongoing support
  • The opportunity to learn new skills
  • The chance to meet new people
  • A friendly and supportive team
  • Reimbursement of out of pocket travelling expenses

If you are interested in finding out more about our voluntary positions contact Jennie or Christine on 01271 328866.
