We are a charitable organisation and as such fundraising is very important in enabling us to continue to provide our range of services for those who need them.
A fun evening was had by all who attended our recent Charity Fashion Show raising funds for Go North Devon services: Shopmobility and Ring & Ride.
Our thanks go to the Bon Marche staff and all Go volunteers who helped out on the evening and of course everyone who came to the show; we could not have done it without you!
One of our clients said "I just loved the fashion show, it was lovely to get out socially and in the evening, it was great fun and a welcome change to watching TV on my own".
Other ways we fundraise
The Shopmobility Centre has a good selection of second hand books and bric-a-brac for sale.
Go North Devon are always looking for donations of good quality second-hand books (paperback) as we sell out fast and need new stock!
If you are having a spring clean please don't forget we also need items for our bric a brac stall (no clothing or electrical) and if you have too many plants don't throw them out, please let us have them.
All profits from the sale of these donated items go towards Shopmobility and Ring & Ride Services.
Other fundraising activities such as quiz nights, bingo sessions, coffee mornings, street collections and sponsored events are always advertised in the local press. If you see these please come and support us and in doing so you will be helping others to maintain their independence, escape their isolation and assist in access to healthcare.
A service for anyone with mobility problems who needs help to get around the shops in Barnstaple.
A regular door to door minibus service into Barnstaple for those who are frail, have a mobility problem, a disability (physical or sensory) or who are isolated within the community and are unable to use public transport or do not have independent means of travel.
A door to door car service for patients needing to travel to North Devon District Hospital for oncology related appointments or other cancer related appointments at local hospitals.
Patients are expected to meet their own transport needs to and from hospital. Those requiring transport information and journeys should contact the Patient Transport Advice Service who can advise on transport opportunities in their area.
Go North Devon relies on a number of fundraising activities to support the services it provides.
